How do you turn a successful opening into a full combo?

I’m looking for a combo that works against someone trying to escape. Name the character, the opening hit, the timing and the opponent response that breaks it.

Test the same opening against a stationary target and a player who tries to escape. Which hit confirms the combo, which move becomes unsafe on a miss, and what does your opponent do to break it?
