Privacy Policy

Bloxism is a data and analytics website about Roblox games. We are built to need as little personal information as possible. This policy explains what we do and don't collect. Bloxism is a fan-made project and is not endorsed by or affiliated with Roblox Corporation.

What we don't collect

  • We do not require an account — the entire public site works signed out.
  • We never see or store your password. You sign in with Roblox, which happens on Roblox's own site — we receive only the profile fields you approve there. Roblox does not provide Bloxism with your password or your complete play history.
  • We do not collect your play history — Roblox does not make it available to us.
  • We do not collect precise location or your birth date.
  • We do not sell personal information.

What we do collect

  • On-device data (signed out). Your theme, the games you follow, recently viewed pages and unsaved calculator inputs are stored in your browser's local storage — on your device, not our servers.
  • Account data (optional). If you sign in with Roblox, Bloxism stores your Roblox user id, username, display name and avatar URL, your role, your site preferences, and timestamps. We also store a hashed session token and a coarse device label (for example “Safari on macOS”) so you can see and revoke your own sessions. Your library (the games you follow, recently viewed) is stored with your account so it syncs across devices.
  • Linked Roblox account (optional). If you choose to link a Roblox account via Roblox's official OAuth (identity-only scopes), we store your permanent Roblox user id, your public username, display name and avatar, and timestamps for when the link was created and last refreshed. OAuth tokens are not retained — they are revoked immediately after we verify your identity. Avatar and profile details are refreshed from Roblox's documented public endpoints.
  • Imported public favorites (optional, opt-in). If you flip the explicit toggle and press the import button, we read your public Roblox favorites and use them as recommendation signals. Deleting your saved data or unlinking your Roblox account removes these signals.
  • Contribution records. If you suggest a correction or claim a creator profile, we keep the submission, its review outcome, and an audit trail of approved changes.
  • Aggregate analytics. We record anonymized, aggregate usage events (e.g. which pages and tools are popular) to improve the site, using Ahrefs Web Analytics and Google Analytics 4. These are not tied to your identity or to your account.
  • Server logs. Our hosting providers process standard request data (IP address, user agent) transiently to serve pages and prevent abuse.

Recommendations

Recommendations on Bloxism are deterministic — simple rules over signals you control (your favorites, watchlist, and optional imported Roblox favorites), not machine-learning profiles. Per-page view history as a recommendation signal is off by default; if you turn it on and later turn it off, the stored history is deleted.

Third parties

We rely on infrastructure and data providers including Cloudflare (hosting/CDN), Neon (database), Roblox (sign-in), Clerk (staff sign-in only), Ahrefs and Google Analytics (aggregate site analytics), Sentry (error monitoring) and public Roblox APIs. If advertising is enabled, ads may be served by Google AdSense, which uses cookies as described in our Cookie Policy and Advertising Disclosure. Some pages embed YouTube videos, which are governed by Google's privacy policy.

Children's privacy

Roblox has a large younger audience, so Bloxism defaults to safe-for-minors settings. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children — the public site works without any account or personal data, accounts are optional, and every data-collecting feature (Roblox linking, favorites import, view history) is opt-in. Where advertising is enabled, we configure it to avoid collecting personal data for ad personalization from users who may be children, in line with applicable law.

Retention

We keep your account data until you delete it. If you delete your account, your saved data is removed and your attribution in the contribution audit trail is anonymized (the record of the approved change remains, without your identity). Unlinking your Roblox account deletes the stored Roblox profile data and any Roblox-derived recommendation signals, without deleting your Bloxism account.

Your choices

  • Everything on your account page is self-serve: export your data as JSON, delete your saved data, unlink your Roblox account, toggle view history, or delete your account entirely.
  • Clear your browser's local storage to remove on-device preferences and saved data at any time.
  • Use your browser or region's cookie controls to limit non-essential cookies.
