Which egg route pays off after the early biomes?

The official game description gives the loop: steal eggs, hatch pets, earn money, upgrade, then train for Speed. But the next egg is a route decision, not simply a rarity label. Compare a Forest, Lake or later biome run using the egg you picked up, the guardian you encountered, how long the return took and the pet income shown after hatching. The pet index and biome route provide community-reported reference points. If an in-game number differs, post the screenshot and date so we can correct the guide.
