Obtainment

This rod was obtainable during the Summer Expansion's Red King and 50B Celebration events by exchanging a total of 100 Corrupted Fish for Oni Tokens. Upon meeting the requirements, the Shark (Corrupted) is able to be crafted with from the Oni Fisherman.

Trivia

Upon obtaining the Shark (Corrupted), the player keeps their Shark Rod. There is a 10% chance to catch Corrupted Fish by fishing with the Shark (Corrupted). If the player stands still while holding the rod for 20 seconds, corrupted aura will emerge and spiral beneath their feet. If the player uses Flash Step, the corrupted aura doesn't follow the player; it will be in the same spot as before. During the 50b event, it was still possible to get this rod as the Player could exchange fish, and still get Oni Tokens with corrupted fish.
