The name of the seems to be a portmanteau of Latin avārus, meaning "greedy" or "avaricious", and "akuma", a kind of Japanese demon. The 's head was shared by MacRenee to have been based off Teostra from the Monster Hunter franchise. The represents the developer ThunderBoo666. It has permanent Pitch color markings around its face, back, and on its horns. Most of the mutations (excluding the Back Spines and Chest Blades) are permanent Force Field material, and some of its permanent Pitch markings have permanent Glass material. The orb that the controls emits lightning particle effects. Although its concept art depicts it having an aura between its wing blades, the aura effect was not added until around July 7th, 2025. The is the first dragon added to be a centaur. According to its Dragonpedia entry, the was once a flightless dragon that nearly disappeared, however each remaining and all future members of its species were given a mechanical suit crafted by engineers. The is the only developer dragon to have a bundle price that is not 1,500 Robux, instead costing 1,499 Robux.
