"Fabledrak, a dragon almost exclusively seen in old manuscripts and journals across Dragonaria. These toxic serpents are one of the many faces of things that may come to mind when someone thinks of something 'evil', coveting treasure, breathing fumes that decay forests, and inhabiting old crumbling castles while they look out over their pride and joy-- the destruction that they wrought upon the lands they came to hate., Aside from the theory that they still exist at all, many choose to look at their folk-tales as more of an unfair and judgmental one, however, seeing the dragons as beasts that have become stained in hatred only because of their mistreatment and sensitivity to how they may be raised or influenced from their youth. Many have sought out evidence that they're real, with the greatest evidence being environmental change in places that were once lush."

Its name likely derives from "fable", a type of literary genre that typically features animals or non-human characters that are anthropomorphized, and "drak", meaning "dragon." The was originally concepted as a biped, as seen in its hatch presets sheet. The was mainly based off of Maleficent's dragon form from the 1959 Disney film Sleeping Beauty. It was also inspired by dragons depicted with thin necks and large bodies and dragons that breathe poison or non-fire fumes.
