The 's name is a combination of the words "oni", a horned, ogre-like demon from Japanese folklore, and Japanese 鬼神 (kijin), which translates to "fierce god." The appears to have been based off of oni. The became breedable alongside the other Shinrin dragons on September 26th, 2025. On October 10th, 2025, its breeding level adjustment was lowered from level 50 to level 25.
