Overview[1]
Abstract is one of the various maps in Evade. It was released on October 13th, 2024 within the Overhaul update and was first introduced in Evade Testing on September 21st, 2024. It was created by Beefchoplets. The map was temporary removed on October 14th, 2024 in the next day after release of the Overhaul update due to lasers, that were not working properly. It was re-added on January 29th, 2025 in the Lunar Year update. Lasers were fixed and re-added on February 15th, 2026 within Valentines 2026 update.
Abstract has a fairly simple and minimalist design. The map is composed of 9 colorful rooms in a 3x3 grid formation, each with a pillar and a shining sphere of the room's matching color in its center. Multiple times per round, a warning sound will play, after which spheres in random rooms will rise into the ceiling. Grids of lasers will then slowly fall in those rooms and damage every player that touches them for 10 damage.

Patch history
Similar to Train Terminal, you can respawn in intermission if you get downed/killed by lasers. Each room's lasers can only damage players once. Abstract could be considered an easier version of the older map Traprooms. Both are difficulty maps that are sectioned into interconnected rooms, with each room able to harm the player at random. The primary difference is that Abstract's lasers only slightly damage players, while the rising lava of the Traprooms downs players instantly.
