Overview[1]
introduced: 8th September 2022; wave 20 speedup
The Aftermath map is a map based on the Aftermath Game submitted for the RDC Game Jam 2022. Towers cannot be placed on the murky bog that infests the map. There is a shortcut that sludge enemies take along the path, non-sludges go to the right.

Appearance
It is a barren, desolate wasteland filled to the brim with toxic residue, ruined buildings and abandoned sewage systems. The path starts with a road bit, and the enemies walk across planks until they reach the end, where there is a lake (being the only uncontaminated water in the map). There are big metal crates over the infected lake where players can place their towers.
Map Rewards
(Reward is affected by match time. You may get a higher/lower reward than shown as Tower Heroes system is the slower you go, the higher the reward. Minimum above is around the number if you full autoskip speedrun)
Patch history
Some of the enemies that spawn on the map were scrapped for the release of Aftermath, likely due to time constraints. Those being: Eyeball, Demon Sentry and (potentially) the sludge variants. Aftermath is the second Special Map that is level locked (Level 10+). The first being Ghouling Graveyard (Level 5+). The origin of the map, Aftermath, won the RDC Game Jam for Excellence in Visual Art. There is currently a bug where you can fit about 2 towers on the path at the point where the sludge path goes back up to head to the exit. Sludges are counted as a type of Slime, meaning that Slime-type enemies can go through the sludge path.
