The Golden Goldfish is a legendary food item in Adopt Me! that was released on August 24, 2019. It can be purchased for 195 Robux (formerly 225 Robux) or obtained through trading. When using a Golden Goldfish in the Ice Cream Shop, players can obtain a Choco Penguin, Vanilla Penguin, or Strawberry Penguin.

The Golden Goldfish was featured in the Pet + Potion Bundle during the Christmas Event (2019). During the first Golden Goldfish refresh on July 14, 2022, the taming chances were displayed incorrectly, where it displayed a 60% chance of taming a King Penguin and a 37.5% chance of taming a Golden King Penguin instead of an 87.5% and 10% chance respectively. Because of this, the Adopt Me! developers fixed the chances, and everyone who purchased a Golden Goldfish before this change received a free Ice Cream Cone Hat. If the player purchased 5 or more Golden Goldfish in this time, they also received a free Golden King Penguin.
