It can also be used outside of a field, but the frogs summoned will aimlessly hop, which then won't do anything unless one of the frogs is in the field. The frogs have infinite HP and cannot die.

Box-O-Frogs and are the only two consumable items that summon mobs. Box-O-Frogs are one of the two ways to summon a frog, the other being Tadpole Bee's Summon Frog ability.
