The Parachute is a gliding tool that can be purchased at the Pro Shop. It allows the player to glide through the air. Its description reads, "A parachute you can use to glide down the mountain and reach new places! Press jump while in the air to open." To activate it, jump, following up with another jump while in mid-air. If the player went airborne through some other method (a cannon, for example), then double jump in order to eject the Parachute. To disengage, jump once more. The gliding feature is hardcoded to the player, and they will glide even during a lag spike (The parachute doesn't appear immediately).
Obtaining
It has an upgraded form called the Glider, which can be purchased in the Mountain Top Shop.
If the player times a jump the moment they hit the floor, they can be slightly launched forward with the Parachute.
If the player enables shift-lock, they can slightly strafe to one side while using the gliding tools.
The player can use the Parachute along with the Glider for moving during a game of memory match.
