The Hallow Essence is an item that is used for spawning Soul Reaper. It can only be obtained in Third Sea.

Obtainment
The Hallow Essence can be obtained in two ways: Praying at the Gravestone NPC at the Haunted Castle. If obtained through this method, the user also gets a God's Chalice. However, this has a 1% chance of occuring. Getting it from the Death King via Random Surprise.
Usage
The Hallow Essence can be used on the altar with blue flames (see image) right next to the graveyard that has the Death King and the Gravestone. Walking up onto the altar while the Hallow Essence is in the player's inventory will spawn the Soul Reaper, along with the System Message "An unknown being has entered this world...". When summoned, everyone in the server will hear rumbling audio.
Tips
A good way to maximize your chances for Hallow Essence are listed below: If it is night, pray. If not, defeat enemies on haunted castle to grind bones. Once you get enough bones, roll from Death King. It is recommended to do this with a friend.
