Functionality (Pre‑patch)
Before the December 17th, 2024 hotfix, the Permanent Dragon Token could be redeemed for one of four different reward options: Upgrade: A discount on purchasing the new permanent Dragon, reducing the price to 2,400 Robux instead of 5,000 Robux. Fruits: Permanent Dough and Permanent Flame. Game Passes: 2x Money, 2x Boss Drops, 2x Mastery, Fast Boats, (3x) +1 Fruit Storage, and Fragments. Swordsman: Dark Blade, (2x) Mythical Scrolls, (2x) Legendary Scrolls, and Fragments.
Functionality (Post‑patch)
After heavy backlash from the community, the Permanent Dragon Token was reworked in a patch hotfix on December 17th, 2024. Owners of permanent Dragon were allowed to choose either the Eastern or Western version of the new Dragon permanently, free of charge. Permanent Dragon Tokens were removed from the game entirely after this change. If a player instead chose to buy the new permanent Dragon using the discount option, the Permanent Dragon Token would be consumed.
Trivia
Just like the Dragon Token, the Permanent Dragon Token existed due to the introduction of two different Dragon variants. Upon joining the game, the Permanent Dragon Token would always appear as a "new item", indicated by a blue "1" in the Menu or Items buttons. This notification could be dismissed by opening and closing the player's inventory.
