Despite its frail appearance, this dragon has health comparable to that of a Mother Dragon. Lepilons undergo a metamorphosis, transitioning from hornless juveniles to chrysalides before emerging as their renowned butterfly stage. In their adult form, they bear prominent horns and possess the unique ability to spin silk from their tails, which serves both for offense and nest construction. Many artists are infatuated with this species of dragon, and they have since become a symbol of art and beauty."

Trivia

Modeled by Erythia. Animated by Erythia. The Lepilon's name likely derives from the ancient Greek root λεπίς or λεπίδος (lepís or lepídos), which refers to the insect order Lepidoptera. As stated on its concept art, the Lepilon was based off of swallowtail butterflies, dragontail butteflies, and barn swallows. Juvenile Lepilons originally lack their left wing finger and claw, and adult Lepilons had both wing fingers but lacked claws. The and Geoteryx were originally classified as world dragons and originated from Accessory Island. When the world was removed, both dragons became obtainable from the Dragon Pass in certain Dragon Seasons. The and Geoteryx became classified as Guild Wars dragons on March 10th, 2023. Both dragons became classified once more as Accessory Egg dragons on March 7th, 2025, after they were removed from the Guild Wars Egg. The Lepilon and the Geoteryx were the only dragons obtainable from seasons to be exclusively obtainable from the Dragon Pass. The was made breedable on March 8th, 2024, alongside the Aeroseys, Araneaix, Falugeis, Fayrah, Geoteryx, Harvitius, Hexalios, Nakahii, and the Stymelisk with Wave 3 of the breedable Soul Bound dragons. Prior to the start of Guild Wars 6, the and Geoteryx were each able to be hatched from the Guild Wars Egg with a 50% chance.
