Patch history
The Sunfloris was named after and based on sunflowers. When it was announced on the Dragon Adventures Discord server, its original concept art was shared, and it was shown to be named "Sunfioris." Its name was likely changed to make it easier to pronounce and the official concept art was posted shortly after, with the old one having been removed. Before it officially was named Sunfloris, it was named "Helianthus" and stood on four legs in earlier concept drafts and submissions. The name "Helianthus" was scrapped due to it being too similar to the Hielochiim, according to Wolklusk. The color "Pickle" on its concept art was not added to the game and was replaced with Alligator. When the Sunfloris was added to the game, it had no entry in the Dragonpedia.
