Backrooms

MapsEvade

Overview[1]

None (Currently) Backrooms (also know as Level 0) is one of the various maps in Evade. It was released on July 22nd, 2022 in the Alpha Testing #1 and slightly reworked on October 13th, 2024 within the Overhaul update. It was created by Beefchoplets and OsterDog. Its appearance was inspired by the Level 0 of the backrooms.

In the Overhaul update, Backrooms only received refreshed textures, minor redesign and additions, such as ladder. Map objective has been removed, but it's still available in Legacy gamemode. The Backrooms are a large yellow maze with a dark environment. The objective in this map is to find the generator which powers on the cameras.. The generator can spawn anywhere in the map randomly and the cameras will beep faster if a nextbot is closer. Although the backrooms repeat itself a lot, there are some unique landmarks included in the map, such as the entrance, the air vent with a folding staircase and the pitfalls room. In one part of the maze there is a strange image with eyes.

Patch history

This map has its own OST called Backroom's Compressed Voices. This map can also be seen in the Interloper Mission. Probably all the entities that inhabited the Backrooms were killed by nextbots, but this is not confirmed. Formerly before Evade x Darkest Hours Update regular nextbots appeared here.
