Crossroads

MapsEvade

Overview[1]

Crossroads is one of the various maps in Evade. It was released on September 24th, 2022 within the An Unusual Update and reworked on October 13th, 2024 within the Overhaul update. It was created by Nirethi and Kapurikon. Its appearance was inspired by the famous classic Crossroads map, made by Roblox in 2007. This map was submitted by Nirethi for An Unusual Update, but originally this map was called Evade Roads.

Crossroads received a large redesign in the Overhaul update, being significantly bigger than its current version and with new zones like a volcano, a working lazer beam, an underground investigation room, a bigger beach zone with non-hazardous water and many more features. You can also find Bobo, that resting on beach chair. The Crossroads consists of 4 different and connected corners that are separated by a central cross shaped path. The first corner consists of several playset objects (swings, tetherball, trampoline, tower, slide), a house, a picnic blanket, and a pond, all bordered by a grid of trees and benches. The second corner consists of a large and tall mountain with a small hideout inside of it and a lazer beam on the top. The top of the mountain is often used as a safe space. The third corner consists of Mud Hill (with stairs and a small outlook tower over an underground area with pillars), connected to a series of platforms connected by bridges with lava spinners, a ruined fort on a standalone rock with a pillar on top, and a rock ledge that directly connects to the black castle corner with a passage underneath it. The fourth corner is a ledge that is bordered by the hollow walls of a castle. A staircase opens up to an underground path that runs below the rock, and a tower and a high rock are situated near the back wall. One end of the overhead ramp connects to the left of the black castle. The map also has a beach section with hazardous water.

Incident with Overhauled Crossroads

Incident with overhauled Crossroads on July 31st, 2023 Hope of Crossroads died when the terrain mesh was removed without any permission, but I spent over 6+ hours to reconstructing it, this map so bland/desolate that it was completely changed twice. This map was originally planned to be a series of separate islands, but the bridge were too far apart and too small, with we felt would create awkward gameplay. Original map was created by - Nirethi and Kapurikon, map redesign by - Nirethi and Kapurikon.

Update History

September 24th, 2022, An Unusual Update Added Crossroads. October 13th, 2024, Overhaul Crossroads reworked. October 20th, 2024 The entrance to the laboratory was closed. Reason: Not optimized properly. April 1st, 2025 Catvade Map set up for April Fools' Day event. April 2nd, 2025 Map restored to normal.

Notes

№1) Text about Elysium containership can't be found anymore on the map due to removal of the whole laboratory on October 20th, 2024 due to bad optimization.

Patch history

In the overhauled version of the map, in one of the rocks you can find a secret room with the inscriptions and images. Crossroads have a another version called Old Crossroads which is made in classic Roblox style. Elysium Corporation uses a mountain where castle is located as a secret base, since there are a hidden laboratory under this place with exotic materials, several boards with information and a lot of containers with Elysium logo. This is also confirmed by the text: Some stupid boat with the company name Elysium passed with a bunch of cargo and dropped some of it on the front of the island, free loot loser. Most likely the containership that brought these containers was from Elysium Laboratory. The model of Captain Bobo can be found in another map - Atoll.
