Mouths and radioactive water (Halloween variant) None (Halloween variant) Radio Waves (Radio) Desert Bus is one of the various maps in Evade. It was released on July 22nd, 2022 in the Alpha Testing #1. It was created by OsterDog and Beefchoplets. Its appearance was inspired by Desert Bus, a Sega CD game about driving a bus for 8 hours and is considered the most boring game ever.
Desert Bus is located in a barren desert, hence the name. At its center, there is a road that extends itself until the end of the map. It could be said that it cuts the map in the middle. Besides that, there are a lot of wood cabins, houses and fences, small bushes, a fair number of cacti and some vehicles that can be used as ramp surfaces. Furthermore, there are two water towers in the map. The player must use the phone, with always located in the middle of the map right at the side of the road, in order to call for transportation. After that, a bus will eventually pass by with great speed, downing any player that stays in front of it. However, if a nextbot is hit by the bus, you will receive the badge called Hit and Run. Desert Bus was renamed to Spring Bus, now has grass, trees and bushes in some places. Also small lake was added. Desert Bus got a huge rework in Halloween 2025 Update and renamed to Desolate Bus, the map is a large Halloween-themed desert with a complete new design, sky is now green with night skybox, Halloween-themed props. Also 2 new hazards was added - mouths that randomly open and closed, similar to Catacombs and radioactive water near main building, objective was removed at the time of the event.

Deletion
Desert Bus was supposed to be replaced by Pit Stop in the Overhaul update, however, the map is still playable. Beef, one of the main developers before the Overhaul update is released said next words: If we don't remove the Desert Bus we will reduce the chance of it appearing in the map vote after the Overhaul release.

Patch history
This map has its own OST called "Point Western" but it was unused for a long time, but as of November 24th, 2025, this soundtrack was finally used as ambience for this map. There is a bug on the map that allows you to place a teleporter in one of the buildings. This has now been fixed. This is one of three maps where you can get the Hit and Run badge, the second is Pit Stop, the third is Ocean Drive. Desert Bus also appears in Tower Blitz as a hard difficulty map with a straight line with almost same decorations with same name - Desert Bus, with was created for a long time before the start of development of Evade. This is one of the few maps whose location is known. Before the Overhaul update all spawns of nextbots was market by default black Roblox spawn from Roblox Studio.
