The Whale Shark is a Mythical fish obtainable during Shark Hunts, specifically around the Buoy above the Desolate Deep entrance. Despite its high rarity and progress speed decrease, it makes for an easy catch, moving slow and steady across the fishing bar. When reeling it in, -70% Progress Speed is applied. When hooked, a will pop above the player's head, and a bell sound is played - as with all Mythical fish.

Multiple players can hook it before the first player reels it in. The Whale Shark can be caught anytime, even without a Shark Hunt abundance, using the Wormhole enchantment. The Whale Shark is one of 6 sharks needed for the Poseidon Trial Pool. The other 5 sharks are the: Ginsu Shark, Icebeard Shark, Great White Shark, Great Hammerhead Shark, and an Ancient Megalodon.
