The Clam is an Unusual fish only obtainable in its abundance at the back of Roslit Bay, which can be seen with a Fish Radar. It is the only way to obtain any type of pearl which are guaranteed to be caught alongside it.

Upon catching, the player obtains a random pearl alongside it, with the game quoting: "The clam had a (Pearl) inside!” This fish was added in the 1.08.0 update, being one of the most recent fish added to Roslit Bay. Using Rapid Rod and Rapid Catcher makes it so you catch the clam almost instantly in the clam abundance. Prior to the 1.13.0 update, there was a glitch that will kill you when catching the Clam. This has since been fixed This is the fish with most abundances, with being 4. The other are Pike and Bluefin Tuna with 2 abundances"
