In-game bestiary: “Scallops are known for their ability to 'swim' by rapidly opening and closing their shells, which propels them through the water. They can be found best in sandy or grass filled areas of the ocean.”
The Scallop is an Uncommon fish obtainable from The Ocean, near Sunstone Island and can also be caught with Crab Cages. Due to its low rarity, it makes for an easy catch, moving slow and steady across the fishing bar. When hooked, a will pop above the player's head, and a bell sound is played - as with all Uncommon fish.

Obtainment
The Scallop is obtainable from The Ocean, near Sunstone Island and can also be caught with Crab Cages. The best spot however, is in a spot near Moosewood marked by a boot floating on the water NOTE: THE BOOT HAS BEEN REMOVED. When fishing here, the chances of catching a Scallop are highly increased.
