The Poltergeist is a Special fish located during the Spectral Tide admin event. Due to it's rarity, it makes for an extremely difficult catch, moving erratically across the bar. When reeling it in, -98% Progress Speed is applied. When hooked, a exclamation mark will pop above the player's head, and a shimmering sound is played - as with all Special fish.

Notes
The Poltergeist's progress speed can only be reduced by the use of the Overclocked cosmic enchant, even if using enchants such as Steady. Also, a preferred enchant to catch the Poltergeist is Piercing and also Chaotic, these two enchantments stab the fish making the Poltergeist easier to catch.
Trivia
The Poltergeist's model seems to be based off of the iconic Haunter from the famous POKEMON videogame series. It shares a similar body to Haunter, only missing the hands and teeth.
