Appearance

Ancient Planet Voss is a very flat map, appearing as a grassy map with numerous trees and walls. There are small buildings around the map, along with spaceship-like structures. In the sky, large 3D stars can be seen. The map's major areas are as follows: On two sides of the map, there is a concrete fortress with a CTF red/blue coloured flag in it, where items and generators spawn. To the right of each structure is another red/blue coloured structure resembling a spaceship. Directly in front of two corners of the map are Killer-only gateways. They are large concrete walls with a semi-transparent red middle, the red part allowing Killers to pass through, but not Survivors. In the middle of the Map is a massive grey unclimbable arch. As of the Noli Update (7/11/2025), 3 encrypted messages have appeared inside each color ship.

There are 5 generators in this map, with 8 random locations they may spawn in.

Items

There can be 5-2 items in this map, with 14 random locations they may spawn in. There are 7 random locations these may spawn in. There are 7 random locations these may spawn in.

Player Spawns

There are 7 known Survivor spawns and 7 known Killer spawns.

Strategy

Loop around the small trees for potential jukes as the leaves of the trees can often block the Killer's view. The concrete fortresses make for decent juking locations and hiding spots due to the 4 entrances/exits, so try to reach one during a chase. It is almost always ill-advised to enter and camp in the spaceship structures as they are tight dead-ends. The spaceships are however slightly elevated, allowing protection from 1x1x1x1's projectiles.

Killers

Due to how flat the map is, Killers such as 1x1x1x1 will have an easier time landing projectiles. Try to bait the Survivors near one of the corner concrete walls as only Killers can pass through the red part, potentially allowing you to gain ground. Keep your camera down when going under trees as the leaves can block your view. This is notorious among John Doe users, as there are no places in the map itself where placing down a digital footprint benefits much. The map is also extremely open, making corrupt energy's area denial trait far less useful. Often, you have to rely on using them to block generator usage, which only works for so long.

Patch history

You used to be able to go behind the spaceships, an oversight that was patched as some Killers couldn't fit behind the spaceships to reach the Survivors. The older version of this map used to have a giant crater that allowed for more elevation. Due to this map's flatness, and how there are little to no chokepoints, this map is generally cited as the worst map in the game by the fanbase. The map was also hated for how the trees would often cover the screen when in chases. This is the only version of the map with no crater.
