-|Metal Sonic= would have received a skin of Metal Sonic, a recurring villain in the franchise created by Dr. Eggman to be a superior version of Sonic. This skin would have had a custom chase theme, being a remix of Stardust Speedway from Sonic CD.

He is a monstrous entity from the void who has spiraled into a delusion that he is the real Sonic the Hedgehog, coming off as more childish and playful than outright malicious. 2017X's full information will not be written out here, but if you desire to know more, we suggest you visit the Continued Sonic Oddities Wiki. This skin was originally supposed to be scrapped due to the lack of permissions, however it may have had a possibility to come to the game due to the Awakening Newsletter stating: "People keep asking me, so I'm going to state this once again; yes, absolutely anyone can use 2017X for any and all projects, no exceptions."
