The Golden Egg is a limited, single-harvest Divine crop released in the Beanstalk Event. The Golden Egg is classified as a Magical type crop, meaning it will be affected by the Cardinal. When selling Golden Egg, there is a chance for a fruit in your garden to get the Fortune Mutation!

Appearance

The Golden Egg shares the same model with most pet eggs from the pet shop (specifically common, uncommon, rare, mythical, and their summer versions) with the difference being the golden texture and bigger size. The seed is colored gold with a similar texture to the produce.

Obtainment

The Golden Egg produce can only be obtained from the Golden Goose's ability: Every 13 minutes, lays a Golden Egg plant that starts with the Fortune mutation. It can be harvested and mutates like other plants. Selling it may apply the Fortune mutation to a fruit in the player's garden! The Golden Egg's seed can only be obtained by having a Golden Egg on the player's plot and waiting for the Hummingbird to perform its ability.

The produce of the Golden Egg looks similar to the Pet Eggs in the Pet Shop and the Easter Egg. Currently, the Golden Egg is the only crop that comes from a pet. Out of all crops in the game, the Golden Egg has the third highest base value, at 250,000 Sheckle, only being slightly beaten by the Zebrazinkle. The Golden Egg is the second crop with egg in its name; the first being the Easter Egg. The Golden Egg is a crop that can mutate other plants by selling it (The mutation has a 1–5% probability of being transmitted.) The Golden Egg is one of the only crops that are single harvest and in the divine tier at the same time. The other being Mushroom. When the Golden Egg is planted through the seed, it does not start with the Fortune mutation. It takes about 9 seconds to grow, which is the fastest growing divine crop. The Golden Egg is the first divine crop to have an ability. The second crop to have an ability is the Sparkle Slice.
