Overview

The Great Pumpkin is a limited, multi-harvest, Transcendent crop that was added in the Halloween Event. The Great Pumpkin is classified as a Vegetable, Magical, Leafy, and Fall type crop, meaning it will be affected by items targeted at those specific Crop types. Every 5 minutes, mutates a plant in the plant's range with Ghostly.

Appearance

The Great Pumpkin produce is an orange pumpkin/Jack-O-Lantern with a green stem and ghost particles. It has a glowing face that varies by smiling or frowning. The Great Pumpkin crop is a twisty green vine that has leaves at the top and bottom that face slightly downward. The leaves have a dark green pattern on them. The Great Pumpkin seed appears to be an orange rectangle with yellow glowing details, specifically eyes and a smiling mouth as well as a circle of long rectangular parts surrounding the dark orange stem.

It is the fourth Transcendent rarity crop to be added to the game. The Great Pumpkin seed looks similar to the Jack-O-Lantern seed. This is the second crop to have a special ability. The Great Pumpkin is the first limited seed in the Seed Shop. The Great Pumpkin produce has three variants: smiling, frowning, and neutral. Previously, the pumpkin mutated any random produce with Ghostly. It was changed to mutating produce within a range. The Great Pumpkin could possibly be inspired by the film "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown". This theory could be further supported since one of the admins sent a GIF of the film in Grow A Garden's Discord server. The Great Pumpkin is one of the the most expensive seeds in the game, beating the Crimson Thorn and tying with the Trinity Fruit at 100,000,000,000 Sheckle. The Great Pumpkin shares identical leaf patterns with the Cyclamen crop and the unused Mutant Carrot produce. The Great Pumpkin first stocked naturally on October 21st at 12:20 AM EST, which is 8 days, 14 hours and 20 minutes after its release. It was also restocked by an admin on October 19th at 7:48 AM EST. (a total of 7 days, 20 hours and 48 minutes since its release. During the Glass Animals admin abuse, it was restocked by WaveyDavey. On 10/27 at 07:50 PM EST, the Great Pumpkin restocked in the same restock as the Burning Bud, and Master Sprinkler, which many players said was one of the best natural stock of all time. Originally, the Great Pumpkin had a stock chance of 1/888 (0.11%) before it was changed to 1/510 (~0.2%).
