Overview

The Maple Resin is a multi-harvest, transcendent crop that was added in the Fall Market Event. The Maple Resin is classified as a Woody, Fall, Candy, and Leafy type crop, meaning it will be affected by items targeted at those specific crop types.

Appearance

The Maple Resin crop is a tall deep brown tree with glowing yellow resin seams along the length of the trunk. It branches gradually from the main trunk, each branch growing a quintet of leaves with colors from bright red to orange to lemon yellow, forming the typical "maple-leaf" pattern that droops downwards. The Maple Resin's produce grows randomly on the main trunk instead of on the branches or leaves. Since both trees are maple, Maple Resin shares visual similarities with Maple Apple, specifically the color scheme. The Maple Resin's produce appears to be a glowing square swirl with an orange outline and a yellow 'G' shaped filling. The Maple Resin's seed appears to have a dark brown/red rectangular prism base, with 3 glowing orange squares cutting through the base horizontally.

Obtainment

Maple Resin was previously obtained in the following ways: Had a 1.6% (1/60) chance to be in stock in the Fall Festival. The user can purchase a seed for 1,500,000,000 Sheckle or 999 Robux. The player needs to contribute to the Fall Bloom at least 17 times to unlock this seed. The player can also use Fall Activities to obtain this seed by completing 50 activities. (It was changed to 25 activities in a recent patch.) The player can still obtain the Maple Resin from the Fall Merchant. It can currently be obtained in the following ways: Has a 3.33% (1 in 30) chance to be in stock. The user can purchase a seed for 1,500,000,000 Sheckle or 999 Robux or 999 Tokens.

The Maple Resin is the second Transcendent seed to ever be added to the game, right after the Bone Blossom, slightly earlier than Crimson Thorn. It has the 3rd highest -per-kilogram value, currently at 95,000 Sheckle/kg, just behind Christmas Tree (100,000 Sheckle) It has the 2nd highest huge chance at 2% (same as Golden Egg), just behind Bone Blossom & Candy Blossom. It was added 9 updates after Bone Blossom, the first Transcendent crop. Maple Resin has the fourth-longest growth time of any crop in the game, beating Coconut and only being behind the Wispwing, Crimson Thorn and Boreal Orange with a growth time of 16 hours and 2 minutes. The Maple Resin crop has falling brown/dark orange leaf particles coming from the bottom of the leaves. The Maple Resin is the first and only Transcendent seed to be in a Traveling Merchant.
