Overview

The Cockatrice is a divine pet that was added in the first half of the Fairy Event. It is obtained from an Enchanted Egg with a 1% chance.

Appearance

The Cockatrice is a brown rooster-like pet with green dragonesque wings. A segment of its neck is yellow and it has a black ridge going down its back. It has a green underbelly mirroring the color of its inner wing. It has a blue segment on its leg where the brown feathers transition to the yellow feet with three talons. The creature has a rooster head, with a yellow beak and a red flap on its head. The Cockatrice also has a green dragon-tail with black spikes running down it. The entire creature is based off of the mythical animal the Cockatrice which a a wyvern with the head of a rooster.

Trait

Silver Screech: Every 16:40-6:40m, screeches and all fruits within 20-40 studs have a 20-40% chance to turn Silver; 1-3% chance to turn Gold! Venom Spit: Every 10:25-3:00m, spits at 5-10 different fruit/eggs/pets. Fruits get Toxic mutation, eggs advance by 80-150 seconds, pets gain 800-1500 XP.

Trivia

The Cockatrice is one of five pets that can apply growth-variant mutations to plants, the first being the Dragonfly, the second being the Golden Bee (scrapped) and the third being the Butterfly, with fourth being the Silver Dragonfly. The Cockatrice has different wing designs when placed, where it shows just white wings, rather than the greenish designed wings in the pet photo. The Cockatrice is one of 4 pets that can decrease Egg cooldowns, the others being the Bald Eagle, Kiwi, and Blood Kiwi. For some reason, the Venom Spit ability cannon be mimicked, even though the ability stats don't show that.
