Appearance
The Gilded Coin has the exact same appearance as the Coin, with some subtle differences. It is slightly darker, and emits yellow particles. As a result of that, it is fairly easy to spot it across all biomes.
Patch history
The Gilded Coin is one of two items that gives player money upon usage, the other item being the Coin, which instead gives Currency#Coins|.
Because of this, the Gilded Coin is technically worth two Coin.
Before the Era 8 update, the player could craft the Gilded Coin at Jake’s Workshop for 1 Gilded|.
Gilded Coin used to have the same description as Gilded|.
The Gilded Coin is one of the 4 items that are based on coins, the others being Coin, Lucky Penny, and Void Coin.
Though Coin and Gilded Coin are the only items that affect currency.
