Profile
The Merchant Tracker is a toggleable Items| sold by the Jester for 1000 Dark Points. When activated, it marks the location of a merchant that is currently present on the map with an icon above them. The icon for Mari is a backpack, while the Jester has 2 masks for their icon. The Merchant Tracker has an appearance that is very similar to the Merchant Teleporter, adorned with buttons, and a joystick, with what seems to be a touch screen and radio antenna. However, the Merchant Tracker is gray, while the Merchant Teleporter is yellow.
Patch history
The Merchant Tracker isn't as useful as the Merchant Teleporter. This is because the Merchant Teleporter teleports you to a merchant, rather than indicating where one is, and is more useful, at a price of only 40 Robux. The merchants also spawn a large beam of light on arrival, further rendering this item inefficient. However, it is recommended to have both, as the player can check to see if a merchant has spawned whilst AFK, and use the teleporter to get to them before the NPC despawns. The Merchant Tracker however could be a free alternative to the Merchant Teleporter, for those who can't afford it despite its not-so-pricey cost in-game. The Merchant Tracker is the only item that can be used infinitely that can be bought from the Jester. The Merchant Tracker was added in the Era 8.5 update. The Merchant Tracker will show the player the location of a spawned merchant regardless of current location, whether it be inside the Cave, or inside The Limbo, the icon will still appear. The Merchant Tracker is disabled by default when joining the game.
