Overview
Snowballs were a throwable object in the Strongest Battlegrounds, added in the December 21st 2024 Update. In this update, players were able to obtain one by going to one of the many snow piles scattered around the map (mostly around the spawns). Then, interact with the snow pile for a second, and the player will bend downward to pick one up. If a player is holding a snowball, they can no longer run, dash or attack, being stuck with a slow walking speed (and walking in a unique "trudging" animation with the snowball in hand), until the player throws the snowball or is attacked (in either case, they lose the snowball). Using the m1 input will prompt the player to move forward in a short windup, winding back for an instant and then leaning forward to throw the snowball. The snowball will travel in a short arc around the size of that of the trash can, breaking upon contact with a player or surface. If a snowball hits a player, it will deal damage to them. If the hit player has picked up a snowball recently, they will take a huge 50% damage and stumble backward in a stun. If they have not picked up a snowball recently, it will deal a paltry 1% of damage and will not stun. Snowballs cannot be countered or otherwise reflected like many other projectiles, and they also cannot be blocked. Because snowballs are only deadly if someone else picks up a snowball, a good way to avoid dying to one would be to simply not pick one up.
Patch history
The reason why snowballs only are effective on players that are also using them is most likely to encourage players to participate in wide-scale "snowball fights" (with quick, easy kills as the reward for doing so), while not being annoying to players who prefer not to join in on the action. Despite being not present in normal conditions, if the player walks while holding a snowball, character tilting/leaning is present for an unknown reason. The snowballs are buffed when used while another player has a snowball, causing half health when hit. Snowballs were removed a somewhat short time after the winter update, but it is possible that they will return in a future winter update. The badge can probably still be obtained using Build Mode. However, to get it, you need a gamepass Private Server+. Category:Other Category:Combat Related Category:Exclusive Category:Events Category:Maps
