Wizard is one of the two basic starting towers that fires magic at the enemies. With each upgrade, his attacks get stronger. His weapon is a wand.

Strategy
Especially on Hard difficulty, Wizard can be a great option with enough mana, dealing up to incredible amounts of damage. Balloon Pal can be helpful when paired with Wizard due to its above average range. Because the ability becomes more expensive when used, it's recommended that you spread the ability across other Wizards. Level 2 and 3 wizards can be very effective at early game defense and hidden detection due to their good cost efficiency.

Patch history
Just like Chef, Wizard is a starting tower, being given to new players for free. Wizard was one of the 6 Original Towers on the Game's Release, Alongside Chef, Scientist, Dumpster Child, Slime King, and Lemonade Cat. Wizard's Level 5 attack sound used to use sound effects casted by Asriel from Undertale. The magic sound was changed on February 3, 2021. The special ability can be used 4 times. The ability increases the Wizard's damage by 10 each time. Getting 13 max level Wizards, all with maxed ability, costs a total of 298,090. Wizard's Level 5 has text "Bot" under his hat. It can be seen using spectator mode. Initally, Wizard was the only tower you could place wave 1, as every other tower has a higher price than the usual starting mana. This changed when the starting mana became 250 at default.
