To go trick or treating, players need to obtain the Halloween Candle first, it can be obtained from opening Chests, killing Cultists, finishing a Cultist Stronghold or finishing a Cultist Raid. Players can trick-or-treat at any house on any night by simply lighting up the house with a Halloween Candle. To do this, drop the candle by the house's door, then knock on the door at night. Players can light up the house at any time. Once the house is lit up, players can knock on the door when night falls. After knocking, the person inside will think for a few seconds and decide whether to provide a trick or treat. If the homeowners choose treat, players will receive a reward. But if they choose trick, players will get small pranks, such as having every Item in their Sack dropped, however they will still be rewarded with 3 candies (can use the Trick or Treater class to get 4 candies per house and higher chance of getting treat). Candies dropped by the homeowners after trick-or-treating will automatically get picked up if left alone for 40 seconds. This mechanic lasted from October 18, 2025 to November 8, 2025.

Trivia
Each house requires one candle. Both the Black House and the Dark Red House are usually next to each other. This is because the owners of both houses are Cultists. The houses reset after some time to add looping mechanic just like the Cultist Stronghold. There is a bug where they sometimes send the Trick emoji even though they are treating you. You can use shiftlock to see what each person has inside their houses, usually furniture. In the Lime House [with the Alien], you can shiftlock and use a hammer to get the furniture inside the house.
