The Tanuki is a limited uncommon pet in Adopt Me! that was released on September 8, 2022. As it is now unavailable, it can only be obtained through hatching any remaining Japan Eggs or through trading. Players have a 19% chance of hatching an uncommon pet from the Japan Egg, but only a 9.5% chance of hatching a Tanuki.

Appearance
The Tanuki features a light-brown body with a light-pink underbelly. Its tail has a brown tip, and there is a curved brown spot on its face that covers its eyes. It has four brown feet, two black eyes, a small black nose, and light-brown ears with brown and pink insides.

Neon appearance
The Neon Tanuki glows yellow around its face, the outside of its ears, and on two lines of its tail.
Mega Neon appearance
The Mega Neon Tanuki glows in the same areas as the Neon Tanuki, except those areas cycle through the colors of the rainbow.
