The Founder's Key Throw Toy (formerly known as the Founder's Key) is a limited uncommon toy in Adopt Me!. After diving into the water where Burt was stationed, players could find a sunken ship and search for three pieces of the key. The first piece was located straight ahead of the player in a small sandy cove. The second piece was located near a wooden staircase section, close to the first piece. The third piece of the key was located on the very top of the highest tree. After the player obtained all fragments, the Founder's Key appeared in their inventory. It is now only obtainable through trading.

Appearance
The Founder's Key Throw Toy features a yellow and orange key with one end of it being in the shape of a paw.
Usage
When the Founder's Key Throw Toy is interacted with, the player will throw it and their equipped pet will fetch and return it to them. When thrown, it squeaks. This item can be used to fulfill the 'catch' ailment on pets. When specifically requested by a pet for this ailment, it provides a 3x Bucks and XP bonus. Before the Founder's Key was renamed, it could be used to open the Vault in the Pet Shop. It was found in a sunken ship that later became the Accessory Shop, right beneath Burt's new station spot.
Trivia
After the Founder's Key was renamed to the Founder's Key Throw Toy, it became a tradable item. The model of this item was used for the keys in the Garden Hop Obby Event.
