Behavior

The Chief Warden uses Wardens Sword as his weapon, but does not utilize any of its moves. He can be easily defeated with long ranged moves, or by hiding behind a wall.

Tips & Tricks

One method is to hit the Chief Warden and run to the closest entrance of the outer circle of the prison and once he is in the outer prison circle go out to the inner prison and hit him with sword/melee or a move since he does not have a ranged attack. He cannot go up from that height and he has less sword range than the player. This method can also be used for the Warden. Magma is recommended as it deals high damage and the lava puddles can at least touch the Chief Warden even if the main attack does not hit. If Swan has either been defeated or is not there, the player can lure the Chief Warden into Swan's room, then go outside to the walls next to the quest giver. The player can then use a sword or fighting style to damage him. Only every once in a while will he be able to hit the player. Because of the Chief Warden not using moves, the player can use M1s like Kitsune that stuns the boss. Other fruits like Ice and Light are highly recommended, since higher-level fruits like Kitsune will be difficult to obtain in the First Sea. The Chief Warden, although not using moves, has a very fast M1 attack (almost as if he has no cooldown). It is recommended to use ranged attacks so that you can't be barrage hit.
