Appearance

Stress Ball is, as the name implies, a stuffed stress ball that is torn open on one of its sides, with stuffing coming out of the tear. It has a symmetrical pattern containing the color scheme of, with a large section of mint at the top and bottom, two smaller symmetrical turquoise stripes, and a larger blue stripe in the center. Additionally, it features triangular clusters of three dots within the stripes: blue in the bottom mint stripe, turquoise in the top mint stripe, and mint in the middle blue stripe.

Strategies

Stress Ball is a niche Trinket, serving a 5% to 20% Extraction Speed boost to every Skill Check hit. Though this seems great at first, its merely an illusion of what great is, as its boost is much weaker than an and the 20% boost only lasts for ever so few seconds even with lots of Skill Checks being hit. The best Toons to use Stress Ball with are any Toons with 5 Extraction Speed, as a 20% increase makes Machines go by much more smoothly than any lower Extraction Speed. Furthermore, it makes them finish Machines in around 26 seconds (23.2 seconds with ). However, note that 20% will not always be achieved, as you still need to hit the Skill Checks to gain the Extraction Speed, and hope that Skill Checks come rapidly enough to sustain it. On average, you'll likely stay at around 10% or 5%. One way to increase the small boost is by gaining Skill Check Chance in a way or another. For this reason, synergizes well with Stress Ball, as the increased chance makes the boost more likely to increase. You trade a short boost of completion for more a stable boost of overall extraction. Toons such as, or can use their Abilities to gain/provide a Skill Check chance boost to themself/teammates, in order to help increase the stacked boost from Stress Ball. Alternatively, Toons with Abilities that can raise their own/other's Extraction Speed, like, and can further amplify the boost from Stress Ball. It is also recommended to use Stress Ball on toons with a low Skill Check and a high Extraction Speed, especially if a reduced Skill Check size from certain Trinkets makes things too difficult.

Trivia

Interestingly, if used on while using his Ability, Stress Ball will give 10% Extraction Speed per Skill Check rather than 5% for the duration of Distressed Delicacy's boost. This is because Squirm's Active Ability also increases any existing extraction multiplier by 100%, essentially just doubling the effect.
