The Luminous Larva can be predominantly one of the best baits in game, and it currently provides stats stronger then almost every bait, such as Deep Coral's extreme resilience while giving a high amount of (+175%) while also giving a +10%. Overall, this bait can be determined as one of the best baits in game with all the combined positives it gives. It also reigns over most Secret fish in the Second Sea as their preferred bait.

Patch history
It is very likely this bait will come into game and was either intentionally delayed or unintentionally due to multiple fish released in game having a preference for this. It was added in game on update 1.26.3 (most likely a bug patch.) This bait has the most preferred Secret's in game out of any fish. This is one of the only Exotic baits added in game alongside the obtainable, Golden Worm. This shows to perform better than the Golden Worm, though it depends whether you need Secret fish or Exotic's for Bestiary
