Dreadfin is an Apex fish found in the Ocean during Dreadfin Hunts.
The Dreadfin is an Apex fish that can be caught in The Ocean. Due to its high rarity, it makes for a challenging catch, moving erratically across the bar. When reeling it in, a -93% locked progress speed is applied. When hooked, a black exclamation mark will pop above the player’s head and a roar sound is played - unlike all other fish.

Obtainment
Every TBA hours, the Dreadfin will spawn in a random location and a global announcement will appear in every server: [☠️Dreadfin Hunt]A Dreadfin has been spotted near (Island Name)! The hunt is a GLOBAL fish hunt, with it having a stock of 500. When all 500 stock is ran out, a message will appear in every server: ”[Dreadfin Hunt] The Dreadfin population has been wiped out...”
Notes
This fish will NOT count towards bestiary completion, as with all fish. When turning on the Fish Radar, the Dreadfin Hunt pool's abundance is gray. When reeling it in, the control bar is black in color, unlike others where the control is green. Even though it's a global fish hunt, it will not spawn in the same place for every server.

Strategy
This fish is the 6th global hunt, with the first ones being in a tie, those being the and (currently unobtainable). This is the 6th ever fish that ends in "fin" with the first one being the. If you search up "Dread" in the bestiary, it will pop up with no other fishes. This is the 11th fish to be added to the game. This is the only fish that starts with the letter D. If you look at the and the in the bestiary next to each other, it looks like they are both pointing down the same angle with their mouth open.
