Overview[1]
Mosasaurus is a Mythical catch in Fisch, found around Ancient Isle — sells for about 1 C$ per kg. In-game bestiary: “Mosasaurus is the type genus of the mosasaurs, an extinct group of aquatic squamate reptiles. It exists from about 82 to 66 million years ago during the Companian and Maatrichtian stages of the Late Cretaceous.”
The Mosasaurus is a Mythical fish caught at Ancient Isle. Due to its high rarity, it makes for a challenging catch, moving erratically across the fishing bar. When catching, a -75% progress speed decrease is inflicted on the player. When hooked, a will pop above the player's head, and a bell sound is played - as with all Mythical fish.

What does this mean?
Fisch's in-game currency. A fish's value is its documented average sell price in C$ — what it sells for at its average weight. A rod's value is its documented shop cost. Both are in-game facts from the community wiki, not a trading consensus. Values are not comparable across games.

Patch history
The version of the Mosasaurus is possibly a reference to Leo from Hungry Shark Evolution. The Mosasaurus, like many of the other Ancient Isle creatures, is heavily inaccurate compared to its real-life counterpart, for example, it lacks the two-lobed tail its real-life counterpart had and that it resembles more like a Pliosaurus, which are in a separate order known as the plesiosaurs.
