Ancient Isle

LocationsFisch

Overview[1]

The Ancient Isle is a large island in the First Sea surrounded by a series of much smaller islands located in the far east of the map, far out between Snowcap Island and Mushgrove Swamp. It is surrounded by a dangerous patch of ocean where the player's Boat can be damaged and sunk; as such, it is recommended to use a fast boat such as the Luxury Speedboat or Jetski to traverse it. Many of the fish here are themed around prehistoric creatures. Additionally, Ancient Isle is the only location where Meteors can land.

Ancient Isle is a large island surrounded by a series of much smaller islands located in the far east of the map, far out between Snowcap Island and Mushgrove Swamp. as players approach Ancient Isle, a warning message appears at the bottom of the screen: "The sea is dangerous. Sail with caution." Suddenly, hazards such as whirlpools, spikes, and barrels of dynamite emerge from the ocean floor, inflicting damage to the player's boat. The boat starts with 100 HP and will explode if its HP reaches zero. Steering into a whirlpool will cause the boat to sink immediately, forcing the player to navigate the waters without a vessel. Other dangers inflict a HP reduction of 20. To avoid losing your boat, start slowing down to about 10-25s/ps (or sail at 130s/ps+) once you are near Ancient Isle. At the islands, players can purchase the Phoenix Rod and Stone Rod for 40,000C$ C$ and 3,000C$ C$ respectively. This location contains a total of 4 hunts. This being the Megalodon, Ancient Megalodon, Livyatan, and Phantom Megalodon hunt. The Megalodon usually spawns behind the Ancient Isle.

(Coords: ) Solar Fragment: Found at the top of the Ancient Isle's pond, requires it to be an Eclipse event to pick up.(Coords: ) Ancient Fragment: Found by fishing, random drop, recommended fishing at Xiphactinus area. Earth Fragment: (Currently in the Northern Expedition update it cannot be found.) Found in a cave at the back side of the island, hidden by leaves. Here you can also buy the Eclipse Totem and Phoenix Rod. (Coords: ) You can also find a brick for the Brick Rod in the same area. Once you and 3 other friends have all the Fragments Fragment, you can make your way to the cave behind the waterfall where you find the Xiphactinus. Here you can descend a rope into the entrance of the Ancient Archives, where you can place your Fragments Fragment into their designated poles whilst standing on the pressure plates. After placing the Fragments Fragment, you can unlock the entrance by a short rotation puzzle, indicated by the door lighting up purple, blue, green and orange. The door stays open forever. NOTE: To rotate the altars you need the Eclipse event or use the Eclipse Totem to spawn it. If you accidentally sold them, leave the game and collect them again.

Strategy

Unlike the other islands, name color has a yellow-green gradient, while the other islands have only one color in their name. The best place to fish at in Ancient Isle is at it’s waterfall that opens into the ocean, where you can find a Xiphactinus abundance.
