The Appraiser is an NPC that offers the Appraisal service. She can also be asked to determine the sell value of any Fish.

The Appraiser is an NPC found in Moosewood just beside the merchant's shop. The Appraiser can increase or decrease the weight of a certain fish. The service requires varying fees depending on the rarity or mutations the fish has. Rerolling can also result in obtaining three unique titles, which are listed below. - Appraise your fish and lose weight on it - Appraise your fish and gain weight on it. - Gain a mutation on your fish from appraising. Appraising a fish impacts its value once appraised. Since the cost C$ of appraisal changes as it gains or loses weight or mutations, it is recommended to appraise clean versions of a fish for the cheapest cost. Once appraised, there is a chance to gain a mutation on the appraised fish and its weight will still change. Both the Shiny and Sparkling mutation will stay, but any other mutation is lost. Mutations are more common during Mutation Surges, meaning that whenever Night of the Luminous, Shiny Surge, Mutation Surge occurs on your server, you will have a higher chance of obtaining their respective mutations until the surge/event disappears.
