Calming Shadow was an NPC located at Boreal Pines. They only appeared during a Foggy Night if the player had the Forest quest from Simon active while holding an Ancient Depth Serpent. They could be found sitting against a pine, far behind Thomas' cabin, but only became visible when the player was within close proximity.
How to get it
Find them at Boreal Pines (GPS 22186, 217, 4379).
