Forsaken Killer Guide — Map Pressure Over Murder
Updated Jul 14, 2026
New killers chase whoever they see first. Winning killers manage a map. Here's the shift in thinking, plus where each archetype fits.
Pressure beats pursuit
Your real opponent is the generator clock, not any individual survivor. Every second spent chasing one runner across the map is four survivors' worth of free objective time. The discipline: patrol in circuits covering the most generator-dense region you can hold, take chases that stay inside your circuit, and abandon chases that drag you out of it. Dropped chases feel bad; lost maps feel worse.
Chase discipline
When you do commit: chase toward your patrol (herding the runner into territory you'd patrol anyway), use your power to cut loops rather than following them — every killer's kit answers looping somehow, and finding that answer is 80% of learning a killer — and watch for bodyblock setups near downed survivors. The top killers on our tier list (c00lkidd, John Doe, 1x1x1x1) rank there precisely because their powers challenge loops directly.
The rescue economy
Downs generate rescue attempts, and rescue attempts are your best value windows — survivors leaving objectives to save someone are survivors you've taxed without chasing. Camping a down outright is usually a losing trade at higher level (the other three gen-rush you), but patrolling AROUND a down — leaving, then punishing the rescue — is the pro pattern.
Archetype notes
- Loop-breakers (c00lkidd, John Doe): your power IS your chase; learn its cooldown rhythm and force loops early.
- Teleport/pressure kits (1x1x1x1): you win with map math — your mobility means your patrol circuit can be the whole map; act like it.
- Stealth/burst kits: you win the first hit for free; spend it on kit-carriers (healers first) to degrade the team's economy.
- Big-body kits (Guest 666 tier): loops counter you, so refuse them — zone, corner, and play the objective squeeze instead.
The improvement loop
Pick one killer → learn their loop answer → learn one map's patrol circuit cold → expand map by map. Killer skill in Forsaken is 20% mechanics, 80% geography.
