Appearance
The Lobster Thermidor resembles the seafood dish which goes by the same name. Its body is shaped like a cooked lobster, with vibrant red and orange tones that suggest it’s been baked or roasted, it also has butter and seasoning on top. The tail is fan-shaped and colored in shades of reddish-pink. There is an extremely rare 1 in 100,000 chance that its body is bright blue. This blue variant is different from the Inverted mutation as its eyes are black instead of glowing white.

The Lobster Thermidor is the second pet in the game to give an admin mutation that was already in game. The first being the Disco Bee, the third being the Peach Wasp, and the fourth being the Space Squirrel. The Lobster Thermidor name comes from the "Lobster Thermidor" which is a real world French dish. The Lobster Thermidor is the first pet that has guaranteed chance at 100 rolls. (Exotic Culinarian Chest). The Lobster Thermidor is the first divine pet that the player can roll from a chest. Amongst all the pets with an ability of applying a crop mutation, the Lobster Thermidor applies the mutation with the third highest multiplier (Meteoric), tied with Disco Bee (Disco) and behind Space Squirrel (Voidtouched). It is also behind pets with the Ascended mutation, which gives the Dawnbound mutation every 6 hours. The Lobster Thermidor is the first ever pet in Grow A Garden to have a variant with no discovered buffs, being the blue variant. The second pet with a variant that only has a visual effect is the Swan, being the black variant.
