Appearance
The Tanuki resembles its real-life counterpart and has a brown body, with different spots having different brown tints. It also faintly resembles a Raccoon, just a brown one and has a smile.
Trait
Mischief: Every ~10 minutes, causes mischief, triggering one of the following actions in the player's garden: Gives a random fruit the Chilled mutation. Gives a random fruit the Choc mutation. Gives a random fruit the Moonlit mutation. Gives itself a set amount of experience. Advances a random pet's cooldown by 60 seconds. Gives the player 300-1,000 Sheckle.
Trivia
The model and animations are based on the Raccoon as Tanuki literally means "Raccoon dog" in Japanese. The Tanuki is also a Yōkai (supernatural creature or monster) in Japanese folklore that is able to shapeshift. In Japanese folklore, the tanuki is a popular Yōkai, often depicted as mischievous, shapeshifting, and often carrying a large belly, a straw hat, and a sake jar.
