Every Disaster in Natural Disaster Survival & How to Survive It

Updated Jul 14, 2026

NDS has been killing Roblox players the same ways since 2008 — and people still stand on the beach when the tsunami siren sounds. Here's the counter to every disaster.

The disasters

  • Tornado — stay indoors, away from windows, on lower floors of sturdy buildings. The funnel flings anything outdoors.
  • Tsunami — get high immediately. The wave height varies by map; when in doubt, roof.
  • Flash Flood — high ground again, but you have more time. Don't get cornered in basements or low interiors.
  • Earthquake — get outside, away from anything that can fall on you. The opposite of tornado logic — buildings are the hazard.
  • Volcanic Eruption — distance plus cover from flying volcanic rock; watch the lava line and stay off low ground near the volcano.
  • Meteor Shower — stay under solid roofing; meteors punch through weak cover and open sky is a death sentence.
  • Fire — it spreads building-to-building; evacuate early and upwind, don't loot-linger.
  • Blizzard — freezing damage outdoors; shelter inside and away from doorways.
  • Sandstorm — similar logic: solid shelter, wait it out.
  • Acid Rain — any roof works; the puddles hurt too, so mind where you stand after.
  • Thunderstorm — stay low and indoors; elevation attracts strikes.

Multi-disaster rounds

The real killer is the combo round — earthquake logic (go outside) against meteor logic (stay under roof). Resolution order: identify the faster-killing disaster and counter that one first, then adapt. Tsunami + anything = get high first, always.

Pro habits

  1. Learn each map's "survival spot" — most maps have a structure that survives nearly everything (the sturdy tower, the high concrete platform).
  2. Never camp the balloon-spawn crowd — crowded spots attract fling-kills in tornado rounds.
  3. Move at the siren, not at the visual — by the time you can see the disaster, positioning is mostly locked.
