Design & Path

Stained Temple takes place on a circular-shaped island in the middle of the ocean, with a temple on it. In the temple, there are many large, gilded twigs, trees, rocks and cliffs around the map. The temple is surrounded by gilded pillars and large statues. Atop one of the statues there is a bird nest. Several gold floating rocks are also seen around the map, some of them moving around the temple. The path starts at the blue portal and ends at the gilded twig orange portal.

Rewards

The game calculates how many Coins Coins, Gems Gem and you receive based on how many waves you survived and if you won a match. During periods of 100% more (Friday – Sunday), any earned is multiplied by 2x through the XP Boost modifier. The VIP gamepass also multiplies any earned by 1.25x through the VIP Boost modifier. These two boosts are additive. Regular boosts are multiplicative with other modifiers present on this map. Any rewards that end in a decimal point is rounded down, no matter the first figure of the leading decimal.

Strategy

There are a lot of good ground spots on this map, as this map's path bends a lot. The Ace Pilot and Pursuit can be very useful because of its path, as it allows them to cover a portion of the path for most of their flight path. There is a lot of cliff spots on this map, making cliff towers very useful here. The cliff in the middle of the map allows cliffs towers to cover most of the path, making them even more useful. You can place towers behind the entrance, this spot is especially useful to the Shotgunner as it enables it to pierce enemies more effectively.

Trivia

There is a nest with three eggs in it on top of one of the pillars. This nest bears a resemblance to the Ducky Farm skin, specifically the Level 0 appearance. The map may be inspired by the Gilded Coast in Risk of Rain 2.
