Design & Path

Subzero was a winter canyon surrounded by high snow cliffs. The map was completely blanketed with snow, with evidence of human settlement having been destroyed over time. Some parts of the map appeared to have been sunk into the ground. This part is surrounded by ice. There was also a human-built overhang with a brick tunnel through it. There was a broken wooden bridge next to the tunnel. An Antarctic flag could be seen on one of the ice mound. There was also a snowman in one of the corners. The baby blue path began and ended in caves within the cliffs. The path crossed the sunken bit of the map, taking a U turn through the overhang towards the end.

Strategy

Cliff towers can be placed on the overhang. As this is where the path curves around, ground towers can also be placed here. Surprisingly, you can place ground towers on the sunken bit of the map. It is recommended to place ground towers near the first bend of the map since there is plentiful space for towers here.

Update History

15 August 2019 - BETA v1.0.0 Subzero added. 13 October 2019 - Release v1.0.0 Subzero removed.

Trivia

There was an Easter egg on this map where the creator's names were in text, next to a penguin from the game Club Penguin. This was hidden inside the snow cliffs that surround the map. On the elevator, it was stated that the creators of this map were unknown. However, due to the Easter egg, the creators of this map are known. An Antarctica flag could be seen on an ice mound, specifically the one designed by Graham Bartram to symbolize the neutrality of Antarctica. However, it does not snow often in Antarctica. It is classified as a cold desert, so it is highly unlikely that the environment of this map was an accurate depiction of Antarctica. All towers were placed at an angle due to the map not being centered properly.
